“Outlander” season 4 is almost here and fans got even more excited when some of the cast and crew led by Sam Heughan and Catriona Balfe attended the recently concluded New York Comic-Con. On Oct. 6, fans flocked to the Madison Square Garden in New York City to see the stars and learn more about the drama’s upcoming installment.
Attending the “Outlander” panel at the 2018 NYCC proved to be worthwhile when the cast and series creator Ronald D. Moore spilled major spoilers for “Outlander” season 4. The most discussed topic during the chat with the show’s panel was whether Jamie and Claire are able to live happily as a married couple. Did they manage to stay together for a long time?
“They’ve been through a lot,” Cosmopolitan quoted Sam Heughan as saying. “Their relationship has really evolved, and at the core of it is this great love and understanding.”
He added, “They’re soulmates, and they’ve been fighting to be together, and finally in this season, they are. It’s what Jamie, certainly, has always yearned for.”
However, the 37-year-old actor revealed that Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) will only be together for a short time. It is not clear if the short time that they will spend together is also the period when they will have their child. As many fans already know, they have a daughter named Brianna Randall Fraser (Sophie Skelton).
Caitriona Balfe went on to reveal that Jaime and Claire are now past the “getting-to-know-each-other-again” stage as they finally start to live as husband and wife. In other words, they are more settled and content as a couple in “Outlander” season 4.
"This season, there’s such a contentment with the two of them being together, and you see them building a life together, building this home together," she said.
At any rate, when “Outlander” season 4 premieres, there will still be lots of twists and turns despite the new development in the lives of Jamie and Claire. They relocated to America (North Carolina) and will build their own home but the dangers and enemies seem to have followed them there.
As mentioned by Express, the couple’s grown daughter from the future will also time travel to meet her parents. It was reported that Brianna decided to go back to her parents' time when they were younger in order to warn them about an impending danger.
“Outlander” season 4 will premiere on Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. on Starz. The pilot episode is aptly titled “America the Beautiful.”
