“Outlander” season 4 is giving hope to fans who have been waiting for Brianna Fraser (Sophie Skelton) and Roger Mackenzie (Richard Rankin) to finally get some chemistry going onscreen. While the two seem like they play second fiddle to Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) Fraser's love story, fans who have also read Diana Gabaldon's book series know that Brianna and Roger's relationship plays just as important a role in the stories.
IGN recently released a behind-the-scenes video for “Outlander” season 4 which features Roger and Brianna attending a Scottish Festival. While also featuring most of the crew behind the “Outlander” season 4's visual effects and costume work, the video can give fans a good idea about what activities the developing couple will most likely participate in as they get to know each other better. Some of the activities include a potential scene where Brianna is able to watch Roger as he participates in an indoor concert.
IGN's feature also includes sneak peek photos of “Outlander” season 4. One of the photos shows Brianna and Roger arriving at the Scottish festival. Roger has his guitar case in hand with Brianna beside him, but what is particularly curious is the American flag behind the couple. The flag in the background seems to confirm that the scenes featured in the “Outlander” season 4 trailer will not be Brianna visiting Roger in his native Scottish lands but will be taking place on Brianna's side of the Atlantic.
Another photo features Roger once again holding a torch. The scene still seems to be at the Scottish festival. Unfortunately, aside from Roger, there are not that many clues for fans to figure out what exactly is happening. One thing to take note of is the fact that the scene shows that the festival stretches into the evening, which might point to a dedicated episode for the couple in “Outlander” season 4.
Fans excited for Brianna and Roger's budding relationship can look forward to how they develop further when “Outlander” season 4 airs its season premiere episode on Nov. 4.
