Filming for “Outlander” Season 4 just wrapped up and fans of the series can’t wait to see their favorite time-traveling show come back to the small screen. There have been plenty of reasons to celebrate the return of Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe), not least of which are the exciting developments expected to occur. However, not all the news is good since the actors playing the main characters got snubbed by the Emmys.
“Outlander” Season 4 promises to be one of the more exciting seasons of the show yet, with plenty of tantalizing teases to whet the appetite of fans. For example, the actress playing Brianna, Sophie Skelton, recently hinted at some scenes that she shot with some very important characters, the International Business Times reports. [Spoiler Warning!]
In her appearance at a recent Las Vegas Outlander Convention, Sophie Skelton discussed with fans some scenes that she shot with Sam Heughan for “Outlander” Season 4. Apart from the fact that this is already quite telling for fans who have read the books, the scenes were apparently quite challenging to shoot due to a hailstorm that occurred on that day.
This is likely the moment when Brianna travels back in time and meets her father. On a list that CarterMatt posted, with regards to details that it would like to see on a trailer, it was mentioned that the main characters will be traveling to the Americas in “Outlander” Season 4. This should prove to be an interesting development and one that promises gorgeous vistas and period fashion.
Unfortunately, as Celebrity Insider notes, the show was largely ignored by the Emmys once again. It was nominated for only one category this time: costume. Year after year, it seems the focus of the awards group is centered on big names like "Game of Thrones" or "The Crown." Perhaps “Outlander” Season 4 could be the turning point in the show’s journey.
