While there is no official confirmation about “Ozark” season 4 renewal yet, fans are convinced that it will be greenlighted since it is one of the most popular dramas on Netflix today. Even Jason Bateman, one of the lead stars and producers of the series believes that they will get the renewal notice soon.
Here’s why it will be renewed
Then again, fans would be happy to know that despite the delay in the announcement, the production team of “Ozark 4” has gone back to the planning table to talk about what they will offer the viewers next. Still, the actual pre-production works have yet to begin.
“We’re all operating under the hope it will happen,” Bateman told Collider. “It’s Netflix’s norm to wait for a show to premiere and collect the data for weeks two, three, and four and see if there’s an audience there to justify an additional season so, I guess we’re in that period right now.”
Moreover, “Ozark 4” is surely coming back because obviously, it has millions of viewers worldwide and Netflix will not cancel a show that has the power to attract viewers. The drama managed to maintain high ratings and it continues to grow. As per Deadline, season 3 recorded a rating that is higher compared to the previous seasons especially the very first installment.
Theory and what to expect
“Ozark” season 4 will be messier and darker as the Byrde family gets involved more deeply in illegal businesses. Wendy and Marty Byrde are already on the FBI’s watch list in the previous season and this will continue until the next installment. If they will be able to dodge the authorities, most likely they have used or relied on another crime to cover up their activities.
There is also a theory that Marty will be accused and held responsible for Sue’s death in “Ozark” season 4. In the report, this was the prediction because there are lots of evidence that will point to Marty as the culprit although he did not do it.
Marty will be the prime suspect in “Ozark” season 4 because he was listed on Sue's appointment book which he checked after entering her home, leaving his fingerprints. He is also the last person to have seen Sue alive. Marty’s DNA is all over Sue’s place and it will be hard to convince the police that he has nothing to do with her murder.
“Ozark” season 4 may be released in 2022.
