“Ozark” season 4 is up next after Netflix dropped all of the episodes for season 3 on March 27. Fans are now looking for the continuation of the story as the plot is really getting interesting but they need Netflix to give the “go” signal first before the production team could produce the new episodes.
In an unexpected turn of events, Wendy Byrde, Marty’s wife is now fully involved in the illegal business as well so everyone in the family is in danger. What’s more, their money laundering activities have gotten really big and now involved many people; thus, the third installment was really the time that it can be said that the Byrde family has turned crooked.
Netflix’s renewal update
As of this time, the production of “Ozark” season 4 has not started yet because aside from the issue with the coronavirus pandemic, Netflix has not yet officially renewed the show. Then again, there were reports that said the drama had been renewed in advance and the only thing that lacks is the streaming company’s announcement.
“We’re all operating under the hope it will happen,” Jason Bateman, lead star and executive producer, relayed to Collider. “It’s Netflix’s norm to wait for a show to premiere and collect the data for weeks two, three, and four and see if there’s an audience there to justify an additional season so, I guess we’re in that period right now.”
Bateman added that Chris Mundy, the series’ showrunner and his team are working hard to come up with the plot that they can do for “Ozark” season 4. Apparently, they are already preparing in case they received the green light from Netflix. It seems that everyone in the team is also looking forward to being back on the set and resume their work for the drama.
When will it be released?
“Ozark” season 4 has yet to have a schedule for release. It cannot be determined since filming has not even started yet. But based on estimates, it will be out in 2022 because Jason Bateman said that it usually takes them a year to complete a whole season.
Meanwhile, it could take longer for “Ozark” season 4 to be released because there is no concrete idea yet as to when the COVID-19 pandemic is ending. People are not allowed to go out yet as if this time and businesses are closed as well.
