Edmonton, Alberta, Nov. 10, 2017 -- The PCL family of companies is pleased to announce that PCL’s Project Analytics initiative has been recognized by the Information and Technology Association of Canada (ITAC) with a 2017 Ingenious Award in the Large Private Sector category.

PCL’s Project Analytics is an innovative analytics/dashboard solution that provides key performance indicators for cost, quality, scheduling, safety, and staffing (team) of a construction project. In addition, it solves technical challenges around data access, allowing for transparent discussions and measurable insight into how a project is progressing, leading indicators of any difficulties, and successes.
“We are exceptionally proud of the collaboraton between our project and business intelligence teams,” said Mark Bryant, chief information officer, PCL Construction. “The power of the Project Analytics dashboard is that it generates a meaningful, collaborative, and proactive discussion around adopting leaner construction practices. Most importantly, it is another innovative way in which we successfully realize the vision of our clients while maintaining full transparency and data security.”
Project Analytics was recently implemented during the ongoing construction of the Midfield Satellite Concourse North project at LAX, a joint venture between PCL and Turner Construction. In what would usually take one year to build, the PCL project analytics team created the LAX Midfield Satellite Concourse KPI Dashboard for the client, Los Angeles World Airports, in just 40 days.
Award winners were announced at the Ingenious Awards Gala Dinner on November 9 in Toronto.
