Months after the early access release of “PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds” on Xbox One, developers are finally bringing the Miramar map to console gamers.
PUBG has become a very familiar title across the global gaming community after successfully introducing a battle royale-themed gameplay. However, the PUBG port for Xbox One is still in the early access stage. This means some of the contents available on PC are yet to arrive in the game’s version for consoles.
Luckily, game developer Bluehole is making another progress for PUBG on Xbox One. According to GameSpot, after several weeks of testing, the Miramar map is finally arriving in Xbox One consoles. It will be added alongside other game updates for this month that can be installed starting on Thursday, May 24.
Before the release of Miramar, all PUBG ports were introduced with just one gameplay map called Erangel. This map is known for its locations that are heavily covered in vegetation. But it also sports a good balance of land and water areas. It would often require players to go through bridges and ride boats through the sea where there is always a chance to set up or get caught in an ambush.
Considering Erangel’s terrain, the addition of Miramar to the franchise is a good contrast since the two are complete opposites. Though these gameplay maps are about the same size, Miramar is just one chunk of desert land. Miramar’s geography is also known for having very steep mountains, high ridges, and very tall buildings that making the map a nice area to play in for snipers.
PUBG May updates for Xbox One will also bring other changes to improve the game’s optimization and more game contents that will come with Miramar. In an official announcement, developers confirmed that Xbox One players may soon loot R45 revolvers, Win 94 lever-action rifles, a smaller shotgun, and a new variant of Ghillie suit on the Miramar map.
