Several injured people were in critical condition after a Friday collision in the Uthal area of Balochistan that killed at least 13 and injured 21, a police official told AFP.

The collision involved a coach traveling toward Karachi and a vehicle carrying local passengers. Both vehicles' drivers were killed, the official said.

AFP's report connected recurring collisions in Pakistan with enforcement lapses, speeding, driver behavior and shortcomings in road-safety standards.
