PepsiCo will be debuting its new line of Mountain Dew energy drinks, and it will be endorsed by NBA hotshot LeBron James. The basketball great will be the official face of the beverage and snack company’s MTN Dew Rise Energy drink.
CNBC reported that this new variant of the Mountain Dew energy drink was made to appeal to consumers who love energy drinks. It is also hoped that this beverage lineup will be able to attract consumers who are usually juice or coffee drinkers.
The partnership with PepsiCo
The MTN Dew Rise Energy drinks will be LeBron Jame’s very first product endorsement deal for PepsiCo. With his popularity not just in the sports or basketball arena, the baller will surely help pull in more buyers for this product around the world.
"As energy beverages evolve to provide even more functional benefits, we're excited to introduce the new MTN DEW RISE ENERGY for those looking for a morning boost with enhanced mental clarity and immune support that helps you conquer the morning to conquer the day," Fabiola Torres, PepsiCo senior vice president, and chief marketing officer for the energy category said in a press release that was posted on March 17.
He added, "LeBron is the epitome of motivation and has achieved legendary status by seizing every morning. He not only continues to excel on and off the court but has dedicated his life to helping others rise as well."
