PLYMOUTH, Mich., Oct. 10, 2016 -- Perceptron, Inc. (NASDAQ:PRCP), a leading global provider of coordinate measuring machines and 3D automated metrology solutions, announced that a prominent North American aerospace company has selected three Coord3® coordinate measuring machines (CMMs) for their manufacturing processes.
Rick Van Valkenburg, Perceptron’s Director of Sales - Americas, commented, “This is a new customer for Perceptron® and a great opportunity for us in the aerospace industry. The projects involve high-accuracy inspection on various critical components. Winning these projects is a true testament to the quality and capability of Coord3® CMMs.”
The projects consist of two Universal Bridge CMMs and one Large Kronos Bridge CMM. Coord3® Bridge CMMs provide flexible customer solutions by eliminating any dedicated foundation requirements and retaining open access for part loading and unloading. One of the Universal CMMs is part of a larger robotic automated system in the customer’s dedicated manufacturing cell. All installations are underway and scheduled to be completed by November 2016.
“Our customer is an established leader in the aerospace industry and is looking to Coord3® to support and improve their manufacturing technology,” added Van Valkenburg.
