PetGiftBox and PawPack are part of the web-based subscription box portal TheGiftBox.com. Actor John Ratzenberger and David Polinsky, partners in the TheGiftBox.com, have built a strong customer base and online following for both PetGiftBox and PawPack with the mission to improve the quality of pets’ lives with fun and healthy items delivered to your pet’s door. The cross-promotional partnership with ABC’s “Downward Dog” is a natural fit for the brands.
“It’s about time a dog got their own primetime show! Couldn’t be happier to partner with ABC and work with people who are just as enthusiastic as we are about pampering our pets. It’s a little known fact that nearly 44% of all households own at least one dog so Martin’s got a built in audience of about 78 million fans already. I hope he remembers me when he hits it big”, says Ratzenberger.
Pet Gift Box is seasonal themed with toys and treats for both cats & dogs. Paw Pack includes all natural treats with grain-free options and durable toys for heavy-chewers. Both PetGiftBox and PawPack have included “Downward Dog” branded promotional items in the May boxes that you can’t find on any other retail site.
Every box at TheGiftBox.com also supports a charity. Our pet partner is PetsforPatriots.org – which puts shelter animals together with veterans in need.

About TheGiftBox.com
TheGiftBox.com originally launched its first site, PetGiftBox.com, in 2014 and TheGiftBox.com launched in 2016 with a patent-pending, proprietary technology platform. The website offers multiple categories of niche gift boxes on one site, providing customers a fast, easy and convenient way to give or get a unique gift every month without having to search the Internet looking for just the right gift box or have to subscribe to multiple gift boxes on different sites. There are no long-term commitments and customers can pause, switch to another vertical or cancel their subscription anytime. Every purchase ships free and earns reward points towards free boxes. By the end of 2017, TheGiftBox.com plans to offer more than a dozen distinct verticals including Moms, Pets, Sweets, Escapes, Chefs, Wine, Golfing, Fishing, Coffee, Tinkering, Students and Veterans with the potential for hundreds of new verticals in the years ahead. Costs of each niche box range from $9.95 to $49.95 monthly. The Gift Box both acquires existing subscription box companies and develops their own verticals internally.
About ABC’s Downward Dog:
All-new comedy “Downward Dog” will premiere in a special sneak peek WEDNESDAY, MAY 17 (9:30-10:00 p.m. EDT), following the season finale of “Modern Family.” The series, the first network comedy to have its world premiere at the Sundance Film Festival, will move to its regular time period, Tuesday nights at 8:00-8:30 p.m. EDT, beginning May 23, on The ABC Television Network.
Based on a web series, “Downward Dog” follows the day-to-day life of Nan (Emmy and Golden Globe-nominated Allison Tolman, “Fargo”), as told by her increasingly lonely and philosophical dog, Martin (voiced by Samm Hodges). Nan attempts to juggle her tumultuous personal life with a stressful career, unjustly supervised by her self-obsessed boss. Having her story told from the canine perspective provides a uniquely unfiltered point of view that helps us laugh and cry about what it means to be a human being in the twenty-first century. It’s a show about a dog and the girl he adores, and even at their worst, Nan and Martin just might be best for one another.
“Downward Dog” stars Allison Tolman as Nan, Lucas Neff (“Raising Hope”) as Jason, Nan’s ex-boyfriend; Kirby Howell-Baptiste (“Love”) as Jenn, Nan’s best friend and co-worker; and Barry Rothbart (“The Wolf of Wall Street”) as Kevin, Nan’s boss. “Downward Dog” series creators Michael Killen and Samm Hodges executive produce with Mosaic’s Jimmy Miller and Sam Hansen, and Animal Media’s Kathy Dzubiek. Showrunners Kat Likkel and John Hoberg also executive produce. The series is produced by Legendary Television and ABC Studios.
