At 50 mg once daily, 24 of 31 evaluable patients had a confirmed PSA decline of at least 50%; a separate imaging group had 11 responses among 16 patients.
At three years, 63% of patients on the regimen remained event-free, compared with 41.4% after surgery alone; overall-survival results are not yet available.
The placebo group had an 88% rate at four years. Longer-term follow-up, including overall survival, is continuing.
