Philadelphia, PA, March 28, 2018 -- PolicyPak Software, the leader in desktop settings management for Windows desktops, today announced the release of PolicyPak Scripts Manager to create and run PowerShell, JavaScript, VisualBasic and Batch scripts. Now an admin can run a script with PolicyPak Scripts to perform any kind of administrative function that Group Policy, SCCM or a Mobile Device Manager (MDM) service cannot natively perform.

PolicyPak Scripts Manager brings a new method to deploy admin’s scripts with in-box Group Policy and with MDM solutions. PolicyPak Scripts Manager offers several features and benefits including:
- Deploy scripts to users (each user on the computer) or computers (at the system level)
- On and Off scripts which should be applied accordingly
- Item-Level targeting to determine whether the script should run
- Apply the script always, once, or when forced manually
- Deploy scripts to non-domain-joined devices
- Write scripts in most common languages; not just PowerShell.
When PolicyPak Scripts Manager is used with an MDM service, scripts can be run when certain aspects are true; for instance, only running a script when on a laptop and not a desktop. In addition, when PolicyPak Scripts Manager is used with Microsoft Intune specifically, PolicyPak Scripts manager breaks through the maximum 10Kb barrier of script size; enabling admins to run complex scripts without issue. Additionally, admins can use the 32-bit and 64-bit PowerShell cmdlets, enabling admins to use just about any PowerShell cmdlet they might need in their efforts.
PolicyPak Scripts Manager goes beyond in-box Group Policy and enables administrators to deliver settings more than once, using any language. It eliminates loopback, so scripts can be applied to all users on the machine. Scripts can be run with user or system rights; interactively or silent.
“Depending on the vendor, scripts might be restricted to one specific type, for instance, on Intune the only script type that may be used is PowerShell,” said Jeremy Moskowitz, founder and CEO, PolicyPak Software. “Furthermore, when using scripts with Group Policy, using PolicyPak Scripts Manager, you now have the option to run the script interactively and also have that script re-apply even after the user has logged on.”
