Posco Future M will begin using Palantir Technologies’ data and AI software in sales and marketing, seeking quicker customer response while leaving any move into factory operations for a later decision.
The Korea Herald reported Thursday that Posco Future M said it had agreed Wednesday to use two Palantir products: Foundry, a data analytics platform, and the Artificial Intelligence Platform, known as AIP. Foundry consolidates information from the company’s operations. AIP combines company data with generative AI to help teams make decisions and automate tasks.
The company aims to halve product-development time, raise manufacturing productivity by 30% and improve customer responsiveness by more than 60%. These are targets, not reported results. Posco Future M said the partnership builds on a digital-transformation strategy announced in July and a companywide AI initiative launched in August.
For a longer-term goal, Posco Future M wants to link production, sales and supply-chain partners through a shared data platform. The company says closer coordination across the battery industry could create new business opportunities.
Posco Future M is broadening staff instruction in AI and assessing applications employees built for use at work. The 87 employees who have completed specialist training are working to identify inefficiencies and develop AI solutions. Selected projects are planned for phased rollout by the first half of 2027.
