“Power” season 6 is almost here, and Starz already released the first full trailer to give fans a sneak peek of what is to come when the series returns. This is said to be the final run of the show and Ghost’s final battle as well, so it was aptly titled the “Final Betrayal.”
It will continue from the time when Angela was shot by Tommy (Joseph Sikora) although his real target was Ghost (Omari Hardwick). Angela received the bullet meant for Ghost, but as many fans already know she lives and this was revealed by showrunner Courteney Kemp.
Everyone is out to get Ghost
In “Power” season 6, while Angela survived, Ghost will be in big trouble as his rivals will conspire to end him. As shown in the trailer, people are changing sides as Tommy declares war. In a surprising twist, it seems that Keisha (La La Anthony) also jumped over to the bad side and Ghost’s does not know now who are his allies and who are not.
Plot summary
Based on Starz’ press release, the synopsis for "Power" season 6 reads: “It picks up with James ‘Ghost St. Patrick seeking vengeance. His former drug partner and brother in arms must pay for the ultimate betrayal.”
In addition, “Rocked to his core by the perfidiousness and cruelties of those he once called his family, Ghost devotes himself to one notion: Success is the best revenge, with all intentions of getting both.”
Ghost wants to even with Tommy then later live life quietly, a kind that do not have links to criminality. But before he can achieve this, he must battle the Feds and his enemies who are all after him.
New director
“Power” season 6 will introduce a new director. This will be 50 Cent’s directorial debut, and he will still remain as the show’s Executive Producer. It will still star Omari Hardwick, Lela Loren, Naturi Naughton, Joseph Sikora, Rotimi, Alani "La La" Anthony and more.
Air date
“Power” season 6 will return on Aug. 25 on Starz. This can be the series’ finale and will run for just 15 episodes.
