Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have shown the world that they have a radical streak for a royal couple ever since they got married last May. Meghan Markle herself made waves when she recently broke protocol by closing her own vehicle's door after exiting it.
Recently, both Prince Harry and Meghan Markle invaded news headlines once again when the couple decided to take public transportation to a royal event. According to reports, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were spotted departing from Loughborough Station. Since they were still in public, the royal couple was still escorted by their security staff during their train ride.
But not everyone sees the public forays of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle as acceptable behavior for the duke and duchess of Sussex. There are still fans of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle who are currently divided by the royals' recent actions.
While the news of royals taking public transportation seems to be particularly unusual, those who have followed stories about the royal family over the years know that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle's public transport forays are not unique. Critics of the couple's public transportation escapades should probably be reminded that the duke and duchess of Sussex are not the only royals who have traveled using public transportation before.
Prince Harry's own brother, Prince William, travels with Kate Middleton and their family using commercial airlines for flights made on their personal time. Kate Middleton herself has usually taken commercial flights for her solo personal trips.
Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have also been spotted flying commercial during one of their trips to Nice. And for those detractors who point out the difference between air travel and metro-commuting, even Queen Elizabeth has taken the public train from time to time.
