Royal family fans celebrated with Prince Harry and Meghan Markle with the birth of their firstborn son Archie Harrison Mountbatten-Windsor last May 6, 2019. However, some have expressed concern that the boy might grow into a “spoilt brat.”
This concern came after Prince Harry hinted that there might be some truth to the rumored feud between him and his brother Prince Charles during his ITV interview. If this misunderstanding between royal brothers won’t be repaired, Archie might not be able to bond with his cousins Prince George, Princess Charlotte, and Prince Louis.
“Is Archie growing up seeing Charlotte, George, and Louis?” royal commentator Angela Mollard asked on the ROYALS podcast, Express reported. “They’re clearly not because they’re having no connection with them. Unless behind the scenes there’s some repair going on.”
But what is worrying, according to Mollard, is the Duke of Sussex’s statement about going in a different direction. “But Harry making the comment that he and his brother are going in different directions has huge ramifications not just for themselves but the children,” the commentator added.
Unlike other children who can play with the neighbors all they want, young royals such as Archie are expected to be in the company of their peers and same-age family members. “When you’re a royal and you can’t just go knock on your next-door friends’ door and go and have to play your cousins actually matter, they matter a lot,” Mollard said.
Thus, it is very important for Prince Harry and Prince William to settle whatever differences they might have so their children can bond together. If not, it might have some negative effect on the young Archie.
“I hope that they can resolve it,” the commentator said. “Otherwise Archie will become one of those spoilt brat children, won’t he? You need to knock around with your cousins.”
Prince William and Prince Harry and their families spent the holidays apart. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, along with Archie, are currently spending their vacation in Canada to be with Meghan’s mom.
According to Mirror, the Sussexes spent Christmas at a very luxurious waterside mansion and estate in Canada. The property is reportedly worth £10million and belongs to a Russian oligarch who was not identified in the report.
