RIVERSIDE, Calif., Feb. 07, 2017 -- Provident Financial Holdings, Inc. (“Company”), (NASDAQ:PROV), the holding company for Provident Savings Bank, F.S.B. (“Bank”), today announced that the Bank has hired a retail mortgage banking group who operate in markets in the Central Coast of California. The Bank has opened a Provident Bank Mortgage retail loan production office in Atascadero, California which will support approximately 23 mortgage banking employees. The group is comprised of 16 retail production staff and seven fulfilment staff. They bring established retail mortgage banking relationships and are expected to build their pipeline quickly.
“The addition of this new group will further diversify the geographic source of our origination volume and we believe will increase the retail channel percentage, which, historically, has been more profitable for the Bank,” commented Craig G.
