‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 10, titled “JMPALM,” will follow the recruits back at the Farm as they learn about the importance of betrayal. Meanwhile, in the future, Alex is forced to join Miranda.
Episode 10’s synopsis posted on TV Guide reads, “Owen (Blair Underwood) teaches the recruits a lesson about betrayal that includes trying to get the Venezuelan consul to turn on his country; and, in the future, Alex (Priyanka Chopra) teams with Miranda (Aunjanue Ellis) to save the hostages while President Haas (guest star Marcia Cross) plans to end the crisis once and for all.”
It seems that the incoming episode will focus on betrayal. At the Farm, Owen gives the recruits a lesson on the necessity of betrayal. They will need to get Gabriel Carrera (Javier Muñoz) the Venezuelan Consul, to be disloyal to his own country.
Alex, on the other hand, will have to join Miranda in the future in an attempt to help save the hostages. At some point in the crisis timeline, Miranda told Alex that she too will be a terrorist soon enough. It remains unclear who Miranda is working for.
During an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Josh Safran was asked about which rogue faction Alex may end up switching to. Safran teased, “You’ll have to watch the first 10 seconds of the next episode. [Laughs] Miranda will fill in the gaps.”
Safran also revealed that the newly sworn-in President Claire Haas will play an important role in the upcoming episode. When asked about Claire’s involvement in the rogue factions, Safran replied, “She is incredibly involved in what’s going on, but we’ll learn more in episode 10.”
He continued, “Episode 10 is amazing in that Johanna [Braddy] and Marcia [Cross] pretty much have a two-hander. They shot one scene all day that’s just the two of them, and it’s incredible. We shot it the day after the election, and it was very emotional for everybody. The crazy thing is we didn’t have to rewrite any of it at all, so when you hear some of the lines about how she wasn’t elected president and she just got the position, there’s just a lot of eerie parallels and alternate lives, and that’s a complicated episode itself.”
‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 10, titled “JMPALM,” is expected to air on ABC on January 30, 2017. It was directed by David McWhirter and written by Braden Marks. It will be followed by episode 11, titled “ZRTORCH,” scheduled to air on February 6.
