‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 12, titled “Fallenoracle," is set to feature the hostages as they strategize an escape mission through underground tunnels, which serves as a set-up for the terrorists to reveal themselves.
The synopsis for episode 12 posted on TV Guide reads, “The recruits break into the NSA on a mission to delete their personal information, but the rogue CIA group has other plans. Meanwhile, in the future, the hostages plot an escape via underground tunnels in order to get the terrorists to reveal themselves.”
It seems that back at the farm, the recruits will infiltrate the NSA as in an attempt to erase personal data from the databank. They would also need to stop the rogue CIA group from putting their plans to fruition. It looks like a tight race between the two groups since the AIC will do everything in its power to prevent anyone and anything from ruining plans that have been in the making for years.
Meanwhile, in the future, the hostages need to formulate a strategy that allows for their escape through a series of underground tunnels. Should their mission prove successful, this would get the terrorists to reveal themselves.
In the preceding episode, titled "Zrtorch," Ryan (Jake McLaughlin), Leon (Aaron Diaz), and Dayana (Pearl Thusi) broke off from the other terrorists to join Alex’s (Priyanka Chopra) group in order to save the hostages from death. They also managed to rescue Nimah (Yasmine Al Massri), who was held captive in a secret room. It is now up to their group to free the hostages but it may as well be a suicide mission.
Despite the pandemonium and recent turn of events presented in previous episodes, it seems that there may still be hope for Alex and Ryan to heal their broken relationship.
During an interview with Hollywood Life, executive producer Cameron Litvack explained that Ryan’s revelation as being one of the terrorists dramatically changes the dynamic between Alex and Ryan. Litvack said, “Alex and Ryan, in the tumultuous roller coaster that their relationship has been so far for about a season and a half, it’s another benchmark for them.”
Creator and showrunner Josh Safran added, “It’s a turning point. When you ex-fiance turns out to be a terrorist, it kind of changes things. But all is not what it seems, and it gets answered pretty quickly. We’re not holding out.”
‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 12, titled “Fallenoracle,” is scheduled to air on ABC on February 13, 2017. It was directed by Ralph Hemecker and written by Jordon Nardino and Justin Brenneman. It will be followed by episode 13, titled "Epicshelter," directed by Constantine “Gus” Makris and scheduled for February 20.
