‘Quantico’ Season 2, Episode 15 Spoilers: “MOCKINGBIRD” – Owen Hunts Down Fake-News Publishers in Deadly Investigation; Clay, Caleb Clash Over Handling New Task Force

‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 15, titled “MOCKINGBIRD,” will follow Owen as he hunts down publishers of fake news in an investigation that turns out to be deadly. Meanwhile, Clay and Caleb will clash over handling the newly assembled CIA-FBI task force.

The synopsis for episode 15 posted on TV Guide reads, “While their newly appointed leader gets familiar with the team of CIA and FBI agents, Owen (Blair Underwood) leads an investigation into the strange world of fake news. But hunting down the publishers of a fake story might lead to deadly consequences.”

In the upcoming episode, Owen will lead an investigation requiring him to hunt down publishers of fake news. However, this will prove to be a challenging task with deadly consequences as he and his team go on a mission of taking down an entire syndicate.

Meanwhile, presidential sons Clay (Hunter Parrish) and Caleb will clash over handling the new illegal task force created by United States President Claire Haas (Marcia Cross). According to Christian Times, the two will struggle with differences on how to handle the newly-assembled CIA-FBI hybrid task force.

Showrunner Josh Safran talked about Clay’s introduction into the show during a previous interview on Entertainment Weekly. Safran said, "[Clay] is the oldest, the most buttoned-up, and the most professional, but that doesn't necessarily make him the most secure.”

Safran continued, “He definitely is constantly aware of the right way to do something and is not used to going off the beaten path, so he has been placed on this team to keep them in line, but also his mother understands that the team is there to help dirty him up a bit."

In the promo for “MOCKINGBIRD,” the team is seen attempting to gather information on a factory explosion that Owen discovers as fake footage. They will then go after the yet unidentified group as things take a turn for the worst.

Caleb is also seen trying to reach out to his brother about wanting to help. However, Clay shuts him down saying that he doesn’t want Caleb anywhere near his team.

‘Quantico’ season 2’s episode 15, titled “MOCKINGBIRD,” is scheduled to air on ABC on March 27, 2017. It was directed by Patrick Norris and written by Cameron Litvack and Cami Delavigne. It will be followed by episode 16, titled "MKTOPAZ," scheduled to be released on April 3 and directed by Constantine Makris.
