One of the things that draw folks to the “iPad Pro” or tablets in general, is that they are basically laptops that are much easier to carry. However, they can also have the drawback born from the absence of keyboards. To help address this issue, “Razer” is releasing mechanical keyboards that will turn iPads into full-fledged laptops.
Apple has been making claims that the “iPad Pro” is basically a computer replacement, which allows users to do whatever they would usually do on a PC, but without the restrictions. However, performance is not enough for some people as there are those who prefer the satisfying clicks and clacks of keys on a mechanical keyboard. “Razer’s” $169.99 product promises to deliver this satisfaction, according to PC Mag.
This is the first mechanical keyboard that was made especially for the “iPad Pro,” which makes it the only option for those who are fans of the setup but want to retain the rhythm they are familiar with when using actual keys. The keyboard itself is matte black, which is typical of “Razer.” Its keys are also backlit, with an option to turn the brightness down or up.
With the backlights turned off, the keyboards could last for 600 hours, and with the brightness at full, users will only be able to type on it for 10 hours. The connection is via Bluetooth, according to The Verge, and the peripheral has a dock which allows users to adjust the angle of the “iPad Pro” accordingly.
“Razer” also has plans to expand the features of the keyboard in order to accommodate customers who prefer the form and feel of chiclet keys but would love to have the precision that mechanical keyboards offer. Considering that it is one of a kind for now, “Razer’s” product will certainly stand out and will likely be tested to no end.
