Realme appears to be gearing up to launch another gaming-focused smartphone before the year ends. The company has yet to announce the Realme GT Neo2, but there have been several sightings of the device in the wild in recent weeks.
Realme GT Neo2 specs, design: What to expect
The GT series has been touted as the flagship for Realme in several countries. It is then not surprising that a proper sequel to Realme GT Neo is in the works.
Earlier this week, well-known and oft-accurate leaker OnLeaks revealed the supposed pre-production renders of the Realme GT Neo2. At a first glance, Realme seems to be aiming for a simpler, yet elegant design. The upcoming device might ditch the flashy holographic strip on the back as seen on the first Realme GT Neo and Realme GT Neo Flash released earlier this year.
How about beginning that new week with another sweet leak?!...????

The camera bump on the rear looks somewhat similar to the OnePlus 9 series. But the Realme GT Neo2 has two large cameras and the third one with a much smaller lens. The hump also houses a dual-LED flash array.
More details about the Realme GT Neo2 technical specifications were revealed in a report on Digit. Unlike its predecessor, the upcoming phone is reportedly powered by Snapdragon 870. The first Realme GT Neo had MediaTek Dimensity 1200. It reportedly sports a bigger display, a 6.62-inch Super AMOLED screen with Full HD+ resolution. Realme maintains a 120Hz refresh rate.
The reported camera array on the back is composed of a 64MP main camera, an 8MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 2MP macro lens. For selfies, the Realme GT Neo2 is equipped with a 16MP camera.
It is being touted as a gaming device, the expected RAM configurations of Realme GT Neo2 are 8GB and 12GB. It is expected to ship with a 5000mAh battery with unspecified fast charging capability.
Realme GT Neo2 possible release date
Per the same sources, the Realme GT Neo2 could be one of the new phones launching this month. Digit lists Sept. 28 as the release date for the upcoming device. And due to its launch timeline, it is likely shipping with Android 11.
