With Michigan’s Senate vote approaching, Rebellion PAC is using an ad for Democratic candidate Abdul El-Sayed to argue that U.S. aid to Israel competes with Americans’ household needs.

The Young Turks host Cenk Uygur promoted the PAC’s new video in an Oct. 24 post on X. The ad points to rising living costs as it challenges how federal resources are spent.

El-Sayed faces Republican Mike Rogers for a six-year U.S. Senate term. The Associated Press reported that El-Sayed has emphasized voters’ economic struggles. In separate coverage, AP identified his position on Israel as a point of contention in the race.

Earlier in the campaign, El-Sayed argued that U.S. tax dollars should address needs in Michigan during a July 2 CNN interview after questions about Israel’s right to exist.

The Michigan Department of State said statewide early in-person voting runs through Nov. 1. The general election is Nov. 3.
