“Red Dead Redemption 2” is one of the most highly anticipated games of this year, with others on the list having already been released. Recently, a trailer for the title featuring gameplay that was captured on the PS4 Pro was released. As expected, it was a stunning example of an open-world experience, but what really sets it apart was the sheer scale of the ambition that went into the game.
In its own video deconstruction of the “Red Dead Redemption 2” gameplay trailer, DigitalFoundry breaks down exactly how impressive this new game is on the souped-up PS4 console. The publication went into details as to how the 4K resolution was pulled off in the game box and it seems the results are quite impressive.
Other publications also offered their own take on the new gameplay trailer, most of which have been providing gushing remarks at just how impressive the title looks. It’s safe to say that “Red Dead Redemption 2” is one of the most beautiful open-world games to ever come to the console. Rockstar appears to have taken full advantage of the PS4 Pro’s capabilities.
In its own coverage of the gameplay trailer, Eurogamer really goes into detail as to how “Red Dead Redemption 2” makes use of 4K on the game box. The article goes on for a while, with the publication’s observation of the trailer really oozing with enthusiasm. The gist of the matter is that, while there could be some minor discrepancies in graphical quality, the overall impression is that this is an excellent 4K representation.
For fans to really gain an appreciation for what this game has to offer, though, they’ll have to wait until it launches. “Red Dead Redemption 2” is scheduled for release on Oct. 26, 4K resolution and a vast, beautiful open-world being part of the package.
