Robinhood’s event-contract business generated $156 million in the second quarter of 2026, out-earning crypto transactions and adding another measure of how the brokerage’s revenue is distributed across trading products.
The company reported $100 million from cryptocurrency transactions, a 38% year-over-year decline, and $342 million in options revenue; equities generated $129 million. Options was the largest of the four categories, while event contracts ranked ahead of both crypto transactions and equities.
Delphi Digital’s Oct. 20 analysis grouped Robinhood with the onchain platforms Hyperliquid and Lighter in an examination of how trading businesses earn from user activity. Delphi argued that platforms able to turn trading volume into revenue may benefit as technology and economic conditions shift what customers trade.
The analysis also considered profitability and access to users as factors in evaluating trading businesses. It said customer interest can move among products, making revenue capture an important part of the comparison.
Robinhood’s third-quarter results are scheduled for after the U.S. market closes on Tuesday, Oct. 27. The report will provide the next scheduled update on its revenue mix.
