Roche said it has completed preparations to launch giredestrant, an oral breast-cancer candidate, pending U.S. approval, as the company reported growth in both operating divisions.
The candidate is under review for early-stage and advanced breast cancer. Roche said commercial launch depends on regulatory approval, so the dates in its presentation are review targets rather than permission to market the medicine.
Roche reported third-quarter sales of CHF 16.13 billion, compared with CHF 14.92 billion a year earlier. Sales increased 8% in Swiss francs and 7% at constant exchange rates. The Pharmaceuticals Division grew 8% on that basis, while the Diagnostics Division rose 5%.
For January through September, Group sales totaled CHF 46.493 billion, up 6% at constant exchange rates and 1% in Swiss francs. Roche attributed the gap to the Swiss franc’s strength earlier in the year, saying that currency effect reversed in the third quarter.
Five products Roche identified as growth drivers — Xolair, Hemlibra, Ocrevus, Phesgo and Vabysmo — generated CHF 16.8 billion in combined sales in the first nine months, up 12% at constant exchange rates. Sales of products with expired patents declined by CHF 0.4 billion on the same basis.
Roche reaffirmed its 2026 sales and core earnings-per-share growth targets and said it expects to increase its dividend in Swiss francs. The update adds a regulatory timetable to EconoTimes’ earlier coverage of Roche’s quarterly sales growth.
Roche’s presentation lists Nov. 30, 2026, as the FDA target date for giredestrant in early-stage breast cancer, followed by Dec. 18 for advanced disease.
