King Charles must not succumb to the "low blow strategy" of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle, a royal commentator advised. The Duke and Duchess of Sussex have launched several attacks on the Royal Family, including the monarch, since stepping back as working royals.
Royal Expert Says Royal Family Must Not Deign To Meghan Markle, Prince Harry’s ‘Low Blow Strategy’
Dr. Ed Owens, a royal historian and author of the book “After Elizabeth: Can the Monarchy Save Itself?,” talked to GB News on the royal family’s best plan while Meghan Markle and Prince Harry stay in the spotlight. “All they can do is carry on in a dignified manner as possible. If the Royal Family wants to come to light with any new story, this might prove that Harry and Meghan's complaints about the Royal Family were true,” he told the publication.
“There was a lot of discussion in both the Netflix series that Harry Meghan made, but also in the book Spare around the record press briefings by the Palace against other members of the family. Harry said that there were members of the family that were essentially briefing against him,” Ed continued of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry.
“Now, what the remaining members of the House of Windsor don't want to do is to have those stories proven true by behaving in some way where they're found out. So they've got to maintain as dignified a public image as they possibly can. They've got to carry on with the work of monarchy,” he added.
Ed also spoke of Meghan Markle and Prince Harry’s "low blows" to other members of the Royal Family. “Harry and Meghan have engaged in several kinds of low blows. The Royal Family must not deign to the low blow strategy adopted by Harry and Meghan,” he stated.
“Harry and Megan have hung out all sorts of their dirty linen in public. The Royal Family have to maintain a dignified presence as much as possible in all these matters. Responding to Harry and Meghan is only going to increase the sensationalism around the stories. They've got to maintain a distance at a dignified silence, however difficult that might be,” the royal author went on.
Meghan Markle, Prince Harry Reportedly Landed In New Trouble In Hollywood
Meanwhile, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry were warned months after inking a deal with WME, a Hollywood-based talent agency, after its CEO, Ari Emanuel, publicly lambasted Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
"Prince Harry and Meghan must resist any temptation to join a debate that has become so toxic it could create hostility for years to come,” an unnamed source told Express UK. "There are likely to be long-lasting divisions in Hollywood as a result and they could find themselves frozen out if they take a stance on one side or the other... and that’s the last thing they need."
To recall, Meghan Markle and Prince Harry released a statement on their Archewell Foundation’s website on October 11. "At The Archewell Foundation, with Prince Harry and Meghan, The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, we stand against all acts of terrorism and brutality. We are supporting our partners and organizations on the frontlines in Israel to provide the urgent aid needed, and to help all innocent victims of this unconscionable level of human suffering,” the statement read.
Both Meghan Markle and Prince Harry have yet to comment on Ari Emanuel’s statements against Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.
