Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes have been quite secretive with what’s been going on in their relationship. Since meeting each other on the set of “The Place Beyond the Pines,” the couple managed to produced two daughters who the actress is obsessed with.

In an interview with E! last year, Eva Mendes revealed that she isn’t in a hurry to go back to show business as she wants to take care of the kids as they grow up. She also said that she’s fortunate enough to have her family and Ryan Gosling’s family supporting them; helping out whenever they can.

And while the couple seems to have a handle on things, a new rumor emerged last month that not everything is going smoothly. As Star magazine (via Gossip Cop) would have it, Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes are apparently hurtling towards a messy separation and a potential custody battle that could cost millions. An insider of the outlet claims that the actress is quite toxic towards her husband’s co-stars and would snap at any women who dare interact with the actor. One particular actress that this questionable tipster offered is “The Crown” actress Claire Foy, who amicably split with her husband last year.

“Eva [Mendes] is extremely possessive and jealous of every woman Ryan [Gosling] works with, but in her mind, the timing of Claire’s separation was really suspicious. One time, Ryan was going on about how talented Claire is, and Eva got furious and demanded to know what was going on,” the insider purports.

Of course, given Star’s reputation of publishing fabricated stories, it’s best to categorize this one as pure fiction. At the moment, there is no indication that Ryan Gosling and Eva Mendes’ relationship are standing on thin ice. In fact, it seems that the pair is as happy as ever in trying to raise their little family.

Eva Mendes was recently seen taking four-year-old Esmeralda to a birthday party where the two wore matching polka dots outfit. Ryan Gosling, on the other hand, is gearing up for another crack at being a director after his first attempt didn’t pan out.
