Barrister Salman Safdar said a short visit to Adiala Jail in Rawalpindi on Monday, Nov. 2, gave him his first meeting with former Pakistani Prime Minister Imran Khan in seven months and with Bushra Bibi in 11 months, while leaving limited time to discuss their legal matters.
Safdar described the visit in a post on X, saying it followed repeated applications and requests. He did not say how many requests had been made or when they were filed.
He said Khan and Bushra spoke with him about their health and living conditions in custody, then gave him further instructions on legal work. Safdar said the time available was not enough for a full review of all their cases. His post did not name the cases or give a next court date.
Safdar said the meeting lasted 40 minutes. Dawn reported a separate estimate from PTI Central Information Secretary Sheikh Waqas Akram, who said Safdar had told him it lasted about 40 to 45 minutes.
