Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe have been reported to be an item in the past, but that was denied. The rumors continue even until today, and this is because, their chemistry on and off-screen, remained strong. What’s more, they flirt from time to time, and this makes people believe that something more than friendship is going on between them.
Sam and Caitriona’s scenes in their “Outlander” series did not help with dismissing the dating rumors as their scenes have always been so hot. Their steamy scenes always end up being the talk of the town for the two actors really present realistic, intense love between a couple.
Caitriona already talked about her dating rumors with Sam, and she did this a lot of times already. However, it seems that she failed to convince the public, especially the fans of the “Outlander” series as they continue to romantically link her to her leading man.
“Honestly I’m tired of that conversation. This is fantasy and this is our job,” the actress once told Entertainment Weekly. “We are very different in our private life. We are best friends. From the moment we met, we got along. Sam is one of the most generous people you’ll ever meet. Such a great guy, no ego involved.”
It should also be noted that Caitriona Balfe is already engaged. She made the announcement early this year while Sam Heughan is being linked to various actresses. Despite this, their dating rumors continue to surface, and no one can people because their love chemistry remained strong.
In related news, Caitriona was reported to be pregnant, and the news came out just last week. On social media, fans directly asked Sam’s “Outlander” co-star if she is expecting as her recent appearance made them suspect that she is carrying a child.
Caitriona Balfe immediately shoots down the pregnancy rumors with a single post on Twitter. “To all those who think it’s appropriate to ask. No, I’m not pregnant, just having my period and was bloated. Thanks for asking,” the 39-year-old actress tweeted.
Meanwhile, Sam Heughan and Caitriona Balfe are vying for nominations at this year’s Emmy Awards. Starz already named them as their official candidates for Best Actor and Best Actress categories for their “Outlander” drama series.
