Samsung Galaxy S21 is set to be launch this month, and based on the rumors, it will be out by Jan. 14. As the day of the alleged release date draws closer, more and more details about the anticipated smartphone are being leaked.
The upcoming Samsung Galaxy S21 is said to be arriving with two other variants, which are the S21+ and the S21 Ultra. This lineup has the same appearance based on the leaked images from well-known insiders but certainly has different special features.
Galaxy S21 features
As per Engadget, the Samsung Galaxy S21 will be Samsung's smallest flagship phone this year, but it will be packed with great specs as a result of a makeover done on the previous phones. Firstly, the most visible change that can be seen in the device is the design of the rear camera.
It has replaced S20’s triple camera’s housing with a more elegant one.
The camera on Samsung Galaxy S21 is now placed in a metallic housing that blends in with the metal frame. It was made to part of the unit’s body, so the whole design flows uninterrupted. So far, pink and purple units have floated online, so it is yet to see if there are other colors available.
The S21 series will have either Exynos 2100 SoC or Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC, depending on the region. The former is still unannounced and will be unveiled on Jan. 12, as posted by Samsung in December last year.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 Plus and Ultra are believed to have a stylus or the Galaxy S Pen that is usually used on Note units.
Specifications
Samsung Galaxy S21 will have a 6.2-inch full-HD+ Infinity-O Dynamic AMOLED display. The screen will be protected with corning gorilla glass, and storage will be 8GB RAM with up to 256GB internal storage.
The primary camera is 12MP, while the ultra-wide-angle camera is also 12MP. The telephoto is 64 MP with 3x hybrid optical zoom. The unit is said to come with a 10MP front camera.
The Samsung Galaxy S21 is expected to arrive with a 4,000mAh battery that can be charged fast with wired or wireless charging. It should be noted that this unit may not come with a USB charger. Lastly, Tech Radar also reported that it will run on Android 11-based One UI 3.0, but it may ditch the expanded storage option by not including a microSD slot.
