A renowned leaker revealed that the new Samsung Galaxy S8 will debut in three colors. According to Evan Blass, the renderings of the South Korean electronic giant’s flagship smartphone, and S8 Plus showed that it will come in “black sky, orchid grey and arctic silver).”
Blass also shared how much the cost of the unit is in another tweet. According to him, Samsung Galaxy S8 will start at 799€, which is roughly USD860, and Galaxy S8 Plus will debut at 899€,which is roughly USD960.
Another leak, this time from KK Sneak Leaks, said that another option would be in eggplant violet, with the color only used at the back of the phone as opposed to Blass’ renderings. The display bezels remains black. In another leak, the same source showed in a video that the smartphone is more lavender, as opposed to eggplant violet, CNET reported.
TechCrunch noted Samsung hasn’t been really secretive about its upcoming smartphone, basing on the number of new leaks coming up on the Web everyday. Based on the rendering itself, the screen is now much taller than usual, which shows that Samsung is coming to terms with the 2017 smartphone specs trend.
Moreover, previous leaks also indicated that a mysterious DeX dock will also debut to allow users to connect their Galaxy S8 phones to an external display and use it as a basic computer. Also, ZDNET noted that the Samsung Galaxy S8 is rumored to come with “an "all-screen" design, ultra-high def 4K resolution, a revamped home button, dedicated Bixby AI button, and iris scanning.”
The Galaxy S8 announcement will be livestreamed at www.samsung.com/galaxy on March 29 at 11AM ET.
