“Samurai 8” Chapter 22 will be releasing in two days’ time, and fans of the series are excited how the upcoming match will unfold. The previous chapter saw Maru and company decimating participants in the Battle Royale competition but hit a brick wall soon after.
The wall in question is a mysterious fighter who claims to be an honorable samurai. And seeing how he saved Ann from a brief hostage situation, it seems that he’s indeed a good guy. However, given that the competition needs the participants to destroy everyone until a single warrior is left standing, “Samurai 8” Chapter 22 will pit Maru against this enigmatic character.
While the fight is exciting enough as it is, the hype is further heightened when it was revealed that Maru has finally awakened. As such, “Samurai 8” Chapter 22 appears to have the series’ main character go through a power climb, Otakukart reported.
Samurai 8 Chapter 22 will only be scratching the surface
One thing to consider, however, is that Ann has already blessed Maru with a Princess Amp, while the fighter seems to be holding back his. What’s more, both aren’t wearing their holder armor, so expect that to be addressed by “Samurai 8” Chapter 22 as well.
So far, Masashi Kishimoto has done a great job in developing Maru’s story. Gone is the sickly kid we knew from earlier replaced by an evolving warrior that has no ceiling to his limits. And with “Samurai 8” Chapter 22 revealing another layer to Maru’s abilities, it’s not surprising that a lot of people are on the edge of their seat.
Samurai 8 Chapter 22 may be setting up something big
Returning to the subject of the mysterious samurai, it would appear that Kishimoto is setting up a significant character for the series moving forward. The warrior certainly has a lot of boxes check to be an interesting addition to the cast. He’s strong, appears to be honorable, and is shrouded by a cloak of mysticism. We’ll soon find out if he’s a villain or a protagonist once “Samurai 8” Chapter 22 gets released, which will be on Oct. 11.
As for the overall reception of the series, the anime community has welcomed it with open arms. This, too, isn’t surprising as the world that Kishimoto has created is engaging and flesh out. And with “Samurai 8” Chapter 22 poised to push the narrative forward, we’ll be seeing more mystery being unveiled.
