“Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru” is slated to be dropped on May 12. This manga is one of the most anticipated series this year as it’s the work of Masashi Kishimoto, the brain behind the hit anime “Naruto.”
“Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru” will be telling the story of a young sickly lad who wishes to be a samurai. It’s preview chapters have already been released and highlights the desire of the main protagonist, VIZ portrayed.
The few pages of “Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru” chapter 0.1 saw the young boy wishing upon a falling star. Although he asked for many things, he ultimately settled on his desire to take on the path of an honorable warrior.
The overarching plot of “Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru” involves saving the galaxy’s existence as it hurtles towards the final century of its cycle. To achieve such a lofty goal, the protagonists must find Pandora’s Box along with the seven keys that will unlock the container. Of course, nothing has been revealed about what the box contains, only that the warrior god Fudo Myoo stashed a secret inside of it that is vital in the abovementioned task.
“Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru” Chapter 1 will be quite the read as it will include 72 pages. As the weeks go by, however, it’ll be reduced to 25-35 pages, before finally settling at 15-20 pages. Kishimoto will be handling the manga’s plot, while his former assistant, Akira Okubo, will be overseeing its illustrations.
“Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru” will differ greatly from “Naruto” as the world is a combination of sci-fi and Japanese culture. The magic system appears to be more technological, with extreme body augmentation featured throughout the story.
Indeed, the trailer for the series revealed as much when it showed a character that has its head split into two with his spine wobbling in between. Filled with mysterious locations, riveting characters, and a gripping plot, “Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru” is set to take the scene by storm and will highly likely be a hit among fans of the shonen genre.
