Saudi Arabia immediately suspended 66 recruitment agencies and revoked another agency’s license after enforcement checks found violations, Gulf News reported, citing the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development.
The action followed inspections and monitoring during the third quarter of 2026, the outlet reported. The ministry said the violations included breaches of rules for recruitment and labor services, delayed customer refunds and complaints from beneficiaries that agencies had not resolved.
The agency whose license was revoked had failed to correct its violations by a deadline. The other 66 agencies were ordered to stop operating immediately, according to Gulf News.
The ministry said routine checks of recruitment offices and companies would continue, with sanctions for those that breach its rules. It described the enforcement as part of efforts to strengthen oversight, improve recruitment services and protect the rights of employers and workers.
For domestic-worker hiring and other recruitment services, the ministry urged employers and beneficiaries to use Musaned. Gulf News reported that the platform lets users sign electronic contracts with approved agencies, follow applications, evaluate service providers and report violations.
