The hiring heralds a new level of expansion for the retail construction firm that has become a preferred vendor for some of the nation’s most recognizable brands.
Mourhess comes to Schimenti with 17 years of experience in the retail construction industry with almost all of it coming on the West Coast.
When employed with Gray Construction in Anaheim, CA, Mourhess was responsible for project planning and development, including financial budgeting, personnel hiring, along with the training and development of construction project managers, office staff, and field employees.
Schimenti Construction, founded in 1994, has built a strong reputation in the retail construction industry and has developed a solid niche in urban construction. The firm specializes in developing retail shopping environments for some of the nation’s leading retailers and restaurants.
“I am very excited to join the Schimenti Construction team,” said Mourhess. “With our combined experience in Retail and Commercial construction, we will successfully expand and grow the West Coast Region.”
Schimenti Construction is headquartered in Ridgefield, Connecticut and also maintains offices in New York City. The Los Angeles office is slated for a Spring 2018 opening.
“Our success is really a reflection of the character of the people that we have throughout our organization,” said company president Matthew Schimenti. “Ryan fits the culture here and will be a valuable asset as we expand our market to the West Coast.”
