WEST PALM BEACH, Fla., May 16, 2017 -- The Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR), a Department of Defense program, will honor Chris Craft, President and CEO of ScriptSender, with its Patriot Award on May 17th, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. at the Hyatt Place West Palm Beach/Downtown.
ESGR was established in 1972 to promote cooperation and understanding between Reserve Component Service members and their civilian employers. It fosters a culture in which all employers support and value the employment and military service of members of the National Guard and Reserve in the United States.
ScriptSender creates direct, secure, cost-effective communication solutions for healthcare organizations, enabling one-click integration among providers—without complexity or IT overhead.
Jim Burchfield, National Director of Sales for ScriptSender, nominated Craft for the award.
“Chris immediately recognized, in my hiring process and throughout my onboarding with ScriptSender, the commitment that I have as a United States Marine Reserve Officer,” said Burchfield. “In my first month on the job, I had more than two and half weeks already dedicated to the USMC before being hired, and Chris was remarkably flexible in allowing me the time I needed.”
The Patriot Award reflects the efforts made to support citizen warriors through a wide-range of measures, such as time caring for families, granting leaves of absence when needed, flexible schedules, and time off prior to and after deployment.
“Employers are affected by war and mobilizations of the Reserve and Guard just like the employee and serviceman,” said Burchfield. “They have an obligation to that serviceman, which ultimately is their support of our country and our freedom. Chris took that on with eyes wide open and has supported my Reserve commitment honorably. He’s a CEO who puts his employees first.”
