ACTON, Mass., Feb. 09, 2017 -- Multiscreen video software innovator SeaChange International, Inc. (NASDAQ:SEAC) has promoted Jonathan Rider to the position of Senior Vice President & Chief Operating Officer, advancing from his prior role as Chief Information Officer. Reporting to CEO Ed Terino, Mr. Rider oversees Engineering, Product Management, Services, Sales and Marketing globally.
“Promoting Jon to COO facilitates the ongoing turnaround of SeaChange, whereby he is taking on additional responsibilities for the execution of improvements to achieve further cost reductions, while enhancing sales and marketing, business development, product development, delivery and service,” said Ed Terino. “Jon’s expanded role allows us to leverage his extensive operational experience to elevate our quality, responsiveness and profitability from customer implementations, service, and support.”
Mr. Rider joined SeaChange as CIO in April 2016, initially to implement a company-wide data architecture driving uniform business processes across geographies and functions for customer relationship management, sales and marketing automation and G&A management. Previously, as CIO for Dynatrace, Mr. Rider managed an infrastructure footprint covering 20 countries and implemented an agile development environment for more rapid software releases. As VP of Technology Business Systems for Arcadia Healthcare Solutions, he created a cloud hosting infrastructure that supported millions of healthcare records. While PTC’s VP, Technology Business Systems, he managed systems, applications development and platforms in support of more than 6,000 users. As Gilbane Building’s CIO, he managed an infrastructure with 100 business applications used by over 300 construction projects and thousands of users. As VP, Technology for Monster Worldwide, his accomplishments included developing and managing systems and applications supporting $1 billion in sales and a half-million data queries daily.
Mr. Rider holds a Six Sigma Green Belt and Black Belt certification from Villanova University. He earned his MBA at the University of Phoenix and BS at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. He holds a patent for data mining systems. Prior to starting his IT career, he was a U.S. Army officer, helicopter pilot and instructor.
