Selena Gomez is planning to unveil several projects that she’s been working on and among them is her love for music. In collaboration with Julia Michaels, the duo has been working on a song titled “Anxiety” that tries to capture what it’s like suffering from the condition, Cosmopolitan reported.
“All my friends they don’t know/what it’s like, what it’s like. They don’t understand why/ I can’t sleep through the night,” the chorus goes. The whole song cuts close to the battle that Selena Gomez is going through as she continues to deal with her Lupus ailment.
But despite being diagnosed with an incurable autoimmune disease, the “Wolves” singer is choosing to get back up and show the world that it can be overcome. Selena Gomez thanked Julia Michaels in an Instagram post for having been one of the pillars that helped bear the weight of her arduous journey.
“My sweet soul sister. Julia, you have been a huge part of my life. You have taught me how to have courage when I have self-doubt. This song is extremely close to my heart as I’ve experienced anxiety and know a lot of my friends do too. You’re never alone if you feel this way. The message is much needed and I really hope you guys like it!” Selena Gomez wrote.
It can be recalled that the “Back To You” singer revealed her condition to the public years prior and has been a beacon of hope from people suffering Lupus ever since. Selena Gomez has also released her clothing collection back in November called “Strong Girl.”
The collection emphasizes comfort above everything else, with the design heavily influenced by fashion revolving workout clothing. In an interview with Elle in the same month, Selena Gomez revealed that wearing a turtleneck and high-waist pants is her go-to outfit when she wants to feel empowered.
On the other hand, if the “Good For You” singer wants to simply lay back, she simply slips on a floral dress and sneakers and she’s good to go. Hopefully, the positivity that Selena Gomez is feeling now remains with her as Lupus can be quite difficult to deal with mentally.
