North Korean state media has condemned U.S. President Donald Trump's proposal to relocate Palestinians and transform Gaza, calling it "ludicrous" and accusing Washington of extortion. The Korean Central News Agency (KCNA) stated the plan is crushing Palestinian hopes for peace.
"The world is boiling like a porridge pot over the U.S.' bombshell declaration," KCNA reported, without directly naming Trump. The proposal, which envisions turning the war-torn Gaza Strip into a "Riviera of the Middle East," has sparked global outrage.
KCNA also criticized the Trump administration for its reported interest in taking over the Panama Canal and Greenland, along with renaming the Gulf of Mexico as the "Gulf of America." The report accused the U.S. of violating the sovereignty of other nations, warning Washington to "wake up from its anachronistic delusion."
Trump, who previously held historic summits with North Korean leader Kim Jong Un, recently hinted at reopening dialogue with Pyongyang. However, North Korean state media has remained largely silent on his second term while continuing to denounce U.S. policies.
North Korea has been vocal about the Gaza conflict, blaming Israel for the bloodshed and calling the U.S. an "accomplice." The regime frequently challenges Western perspectives on global affairs, using its media to amplify anti-U.S. rhetoric.
As tensions rise, Pyongyang’s latest statement underscores its firm stance against American foreign policy while aligning with international criticism of Washington’s approach to Middle East conflicts.
