‘Seven Deadly Sins’ Chapter 274 Spoilers and Update: Estarossa Has Wings of a Goddess, Is Actually Archangel Mael

“Seven Deadly Sins” Chapter 274 is out and it contains some new surprises for readers. [There are some Major Spoilers ahead, so readers are warned.] The demon Estarossa is seen sprouting the wings of a Goddess, with King wondering why this is the case. It turns out that the enemy that they thought was named Estarossa doesn't actually exist. He is called Mael all along, and he is one of the four Archangels who was once called The Angel of Death.

The scenes unfold in the Sky Theatre, where the raging battle between the various factions is paused because of Estarossa’s sudden transformation. This chapter can be seen on TheOtakuArena, and nearly everyone is surprised at how the demon they have been fighting all along turned out to be an Archangel.

In “Seven Deadly Sins” Chapter 274, the erstwhile Mael is witnessing flashbacks to when he was still in full control of his body. Segments show how he admired his brother, Ludociel, and wished to live up to his expectations no matter what. As a result, he slew countless demons and eventually became known as The Angel of Death.

Later on in the chapter, Mael witnesses the relationship between series protagonist Meliodas and Elizabeth. This seemed to wake something terrible in Mael, Otaku Art notes, which eventually turned him into the demon Estarossa.

The next several scenes then show how Mael cast off his grace as the newborn demon and receiving the power that eventually made him the feared evil entity. The former Archangel struggles to deny the images that unfold in his mind as he recalls how he slaughtered his brethren and countless innocents.

At the end of “Seven Deadly Sins” Chapter 274, Gowther reveals that everything was actually his fault and asks to be killed as a result. Unfortunately, the specific details will need to wait until the next chapter.
