LIVONIA, Mich., April 12, 2018 -- Sheehy Animal Hospital, a comprehensive veterinary care hospital in Livonia, Michigan, is expanding its ability to provide full-service pet care with the addition of Dr. Roseanne Palmieri to its staff. Led by Dr. Sharon Sheehy, a licensed, experienced Livonia veterinarian, the vet team at Sheehy Animal Hospital is committed to educating human companions about how to keep their pets healthy year-round with good nutrition and exercise.
Dr. Roseanne Palmieri was born and raised in Michigan. She attended Central Michigan University where she obtained her Bachelor of Science in Psychology, and then attended St. Matthew’s University School of Veterinary Medicine in the Cayman Islands. She completed her final year of veterinary school at the University of Illinois, graduating in 2016. Dr. Palmieri worked in emergency medicine for her first two years after school while finishing her Master’s degree in Veterinary Forensic Science. She currently lives in Waterford with her dog, Mila. When not working, Dr. Palmieri enjoys cooking, gardening, spending time with friends and family, and hiking with her dog.
Some of the veterinary services Dr. Palmieri will provide at Sheehy Animal Hospital include preventative care, pet dental, parasite prevention, pet vaccinations, and pet surgery. “I look forward to working with the team at Sheehy Animal Hospital, and helping humans and their pet companions learn more about healthy pet choices,” commented Dr. Palmieri. “What really attracted me to this practice is that they concentrate on preventing illness as much as providing care for sick pets. I think that healthy pets are happy pets that provide great companionship.”
In addition to the preventative care services, Sheehy Animal Hospital also provides in-house diagnostics, microchipping, spay and neuter surgery, internal medicine, orthopedic surgery, surgical laser therapy, and pet boarding. Office hours are 9:00 a.m. until 7:00 p.m. Monday through Friday, and 9:00 a.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. The clinic is closed on Sunday. Pet boarding services are available for cats, dogs, birds, and exotic pets.
The Livonia veterinarian focuses on services that keep pets healthy so they can live longer, happier lives with their human companions. “We provide a wide range of services,” commented Dr. Sharon Sheehy. “I think Dr. Palmieri will be an excellent addition to our staff, and will help us bring critically needed pet health-care services to even more pets in the Livonia community.”
