SANTA FE, N.M., April 04, 2016 -- Sigma Labs, Inc. (OTCQB:SGLBD) (OTCQB:SGLB) (“Sigma Labs” or the “Company”), a developer of advanced, in process, non-destructive quality inspection systems for metal-based additive manufacturing (“AM”) and other advanced manufacturing technologies, today announced that the Company has signed an agreement with Creatz3D Pte Ltd ("Creatz3D") to be the non-exclusive sales and service agent for Sigma Labs in Singapore, Indonesia and Vietnam. Creatz3D is an authorized reseller of 3D printing systems and materials, AM solutions for metal components, and rapid prototyping software.
“We’re very pleased to announce our first foray into Asia through this innovative marketing agreement with Creatz3D,” said Mark Cola, President & CEO of Sigma Labs. “Given Creatz3D’s expanding presence in the industry and Singapore’s interest in promoting additive manufacturing, we believe this relationship will prove instrumental in growing our revenue across the Pacific Rim. We’re already fielding inquiries for our PrintRite3D® technology in the region and are dedicated to being on the ground floor during this exciting time in Singapore. Under the agreement, Creatz3D will sell and service our In-Process Quality Assurance™ (IPQA®) solutions, and we look forward to a long and fruitful partnership.”
The Government of Singapore is committed to expanding the role of AM solutions across Asia and, in 2013, announced it would invest $500 million over five years to boost the country's skills in this area – including in the rapidly emerging 3D printing industry. The funding is part of the government's Future of Manufacturing (FoM) program, with the goal of enticing Singapore's manufacturing enterprises to embrace disruptive technologies such as 3D printing. The $500 million will be used to upgrade skills among workers and engineers as well as "exploring the potential of building a new 3D printing industry ecosystem."
