When it was announced that “Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim” would be getting a re-master, fans went ballistic. When the trailer was released and the glorious HD quality of the graphics was shown, mouths began to salivate. Now, it turns out that the developers are not done yet and are hard at work in making the “Special Edition” as close to next generation quality as much as possible. Also, “Enderal” is out, which is expected to add over 100 hours of gameplay to the already expansive world of “Skyrim.”
According to Ubergizmo, the “Skyrim: Special Edition” trailer that was presented during E3 was not the final product. The re-mastered version of the game already looked worlds beyond the original, but Bethesda’s Pete Hines spoke with IGN and said that they are doing even more.
“We haven’t really gotten into the full, ‘Here’s all the things that we’re doing,’ but the basic idea is, in all the ways possible we’re trying to improve it and make it as next-gen and appropriate for these consoles as possible,” Hines said. “So, performance, or effects, or whatever we can do to make the game look and feel better, we’re going to give it a go.”
In terms of loading time, Hines also hinted that they will be working on that aspect of the game as well, which is good news for players who found that it took too long whenever they entered or exited cities.
In related news, “Enderal” is out and with it comes enhanced gameplay and changes to the leveling system of “Skyrim.” According to Game Planet, “Enderal” is a mod that was created to supplement certain areas of the “Elder Scrolls” game that was deemed lacking by many players. As a result, the mod will overhaul many aspects of the title and could even add more than 100 hours of gameplay.
