DURHAM, N.C., Jan. 10, 2017 -- SolarWinds MSP, a global leader in delivering comprehensive, scalable IT service management solutions to MSPs, today announced that users of its MSP Anywhere™ powered version of Take Control can now access Mac® devices remotely. This latest release allows IT pros to provide full support to their Mac customers in the same way as Windows® users.
MSP Anywhere allows IT service providers to remotely connect to machines to solve IT issues quickly and easily. It gives the ability to connect quickly to a machine, open live chat with customers, transfer sessions to other technicians, ask questions in group chat or silently transfer files in the background without disturbing customers.
This enhancement enables MSPs to provide Mac users full access to comprehensive features such as executive reports, LOGICcards and use of real-time architecture to:
- View actions related to checks in real-time
- Deploy user-defined scripts generally in just a few minutes instead of waiting two check cycles to view results
- Upload real-time results to the dashboard - checks added or edited will be applied and run immediately
- Monitor critical Mac devices on a faster cycle and be alerted more quickly in the event checks fail; 24/7 check frequency can now be set to 5, 15, 30, 60 and 120 minutes for servers and workstations
“This is a significant milestone for Mac support at SolarWinds MSP and is arguably the most important one,” said Brian Best, SolarWinds MSP strategist for Apple®. “This update empowers MSPs who support the Mac platform and is a great opportunity for them to grow their business. It also opens the door for everything we want to bring to the market for Mac support in 2017, and beyond.”
