Song Hye Kyo is already divorced from Song Joong Ki, and it’s official now as it was approved by the Seoul Family Court less than a month after the actor filed the papers in June. Since that time, the actress was only fulfilling her schedules overseas, and she was spotted in various promotional events in China and Morocco.
On top of these, she has been touring with her friends as well, and she was seen with them in Europe. To date, the actress has not shown up in any events in her home country, and she appeared to have no projects in South Korea, at least as of this time.
Hye Kyo’s first public appearance in Korea
However, according to Allkpop, Song Hye Kyo will finally be appearing in Seoul as she is set to attend an event set up by a certain jewelry brand. This will take place on Oct 17 at the Lotte Shopping Mall in Seoul.
Some fans are excited to see her back and promoting in her home ground despite the fact that she also has critics. They were accusing Hye Kyo of not respecting Song Joong Ki since she did not even take a break following their split.
Song Joong Ki remained active in Korea
While Song Hye Kyo is not visible in Korea following her separation from Joong Ki, it is the opposite for the actor as he has been promoting after taking a short break. His drama “Arthdal Chronicles” was still on-air when he filed for divorce, and at the end of the drama, he immediately went on to film his sci-fi movie, the first to be made in Korea.
It is called “Victory,” and he is said to have another movie coming up aside from this big-budgeted film. This will be Song Joong Ki’s first movie since “The Battleship Island” that was released in 2017. This will also mark his reunion with Director Cho Sung Hee who directed his movie with Park Bo Young titled “A Werewolf Boy.”
Meanwhile, Song Hye Kyo also returned to social media prior to her first public appearance in Korea. Her comeback in SocMed happened on Oct. 5 as she posted a series of gorgeous photos that were apparently taken from her photoshoot for the shoe brand Suecomma Bonnie. She was praised for her unchanging good looks despite coming off from a sad divorce.
