Song Hye Kyo and Song Joong Ki have called it quits and has dissolved their short marriage in July. The divorce was filed in June by the latter, and it was said that the actress just learned about it when she returned to South Korea after finishing her work overseas.
Despite the circumstances, the couple was able to go on separate ways without much fuss. Considering that they are a power couple and A-list Korean actors, it was amazing that their divorce went smoothly and without ugly controversies.
Song Hye Kyo’s first appearance in Korea
Now, since the divorce, the actress was only seen attending to her schedules overseas. She has not been seen in public in her homeland since the divorce news broke out, so when it was revealed that she would appear for the first time, it made the headlines.
She was supposed to attend an event for Chaumet Jewelry brand last week, but this was canceled due to f(x)’s Sulli’s sudden death. It was said that the actress wants to pay her respect to the former idol singer, so she postponed her activity.
Now, the event was rescheduled to Oct. 21, and she finally appeared for the first time in Korea as the Chaumet launching event was held in Seoul. Malay Mail reported that the actress looks stunning in her black dress, which she accessorized Chaumet necklace and Joséphine Aigrette Impériale earrings. She looks great, but fans noticed that she lost weight since they last saw her prior to the divorce with Song Joong Ki.
Song Joong Ki’s public appearance
In any case, while this is the first time that Song Hye Kyo returned to the scene in South Korea, Song Joong Ki has been more visible. This is because the actor is working on several projects and it includes a movie filming.
The actor also promoted his drama “Arthdal Chronicles,” so he attended press conferences, promotional events, and gatherings to celebrate the success of their projects. Meanwhile, Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo have not bumped into each other yet since their divorce.
