Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo’s divorce was finalized in July and a month after that, the actor emerged in public. Since he filed for official separation from his wife in June, the former was not seen until now so his first appearance got attention.
He was spotted in a restaurant and photos of his outing were reportedly posted on Chinese site Sina. As per Korea Times, Joong Ki had a meal with his friends and the photos that are being shared right now are the ones that show the actor with a woman.

She was not identified and her face was also concealed in the photos with Joong Ki. But people noticed that she was standing very close to Song Hye Kyo’s ex-husband. Then again, when exactly and where the meal took place is unclear as it was not mentioned.
The actor appeared to have lost some weight and he could have suffered from the months when he stayed out of sight from the public but he seems to be slowly pulling himself together now.
Many people also noted that in the pictures, Song Joong Ki appeared cheerful so they assumed that he moved on already from his divorce from Hye Kyo.
Hye Kyo’s overseas vacation
On the other hand, Song Hye Kyo was recently spotted on vacation in France. She was also with her friends and looked happy as well. This is not the first time she was pictured in public since she never took a break since Joong Ki filed for divorce.
Meanwhile, both Song Joong Ki and Song Hye Kyo are back to their work. The actor is busy filming the first Korean sci-fi movie called “Lightning Ship.” It is a big-budgeted film that will be headlined by the A-list star and co-production between Korea and China.
Joong Ki will also be back on the small screen for the third and last part of tvN’s “Arthdal Chronicles” which is set to premiere on Sept. 7. As for the “Descendants of the Sun” actress, she is continuing her promotional works and said to be looking forward to filming a Chinese movie.
