SpaceX has launched a Starlink Family Plan, providing existing customers with discounts on additional hardware and monthly subscriptions. The promotion, which ends on September 3, 2024, allows users to add up to two family members at reduced rates, making Starlink more accessible for households.
SpaceX Unveils Starlink Family Plan with Exclusive Discounts on Hardware and Subscriptions for Existing Customers
In a recent report by Teslarati, SpaceX is offering customers a Starlink Family Plan. The organization distributed invitations to its existing residential subscribers, providing them with information about the Plan and discounts on hardware and monthly fees.
“Starlink is now offering a family discount for up to 2 additional family members on your account. You are invited to purchase Standard Kits for $199 with the Standard service of $100/month on a new subscription,”noted SpaceX in the invitations.
The promotion concludes on September 3, 2024. The Starlink Family Plan may be complex and difficult to resist due to its substantial discounts. The Standard Kit is typically priced at $499, and a monthly residential subscription commences at $120.
SpaceX reduced the cost of its V4 Starlink dish in June. It provided a $100 discount to consumers who purchased the dish through the official websites of SpaceX, Home Depot, and Best Buy. The company also offered a $299 regional savings discount for Starlink's V4 dish in 27 states.
PC Mag reported that SpaceX is uncommonly willing to discount Starlink's monthly subscription fee. Therefore, Starlink's Family Plan may be viable for family members interested in utilizing SpaceX's internet service.
SpaceX Offers Up to 50% Off Starlink Kits with Regional Savings Discounts Across 27 States
In a June report, SpaceX's Starlink satellite was recently discounted by up to 50% for new users in the United States.
Elon Musk's aerospace company has significantly reduced its costs. Customers' discounts will vary depending on the price of the dish, which is $499, a $100 reduction from its original price of $599 when purchased from Starlink's official website, Best Buy, or Home Depot. Target also offers the V4 Starlink dish.
Nevertheless, SpaceX also implemented a "regional savings" discount in 27 states, which provided an additional $200 discount. New residential service plan subscribers are eligible for the "regional savings" discount. With the “regional savings” discount, the price of a Starlink V4 dish drops from $499 to $299 for some massive savings.
“In the United States, new orders in certain regions are eligible for a one-time savings in areas where Starlink has abundant network availability.
“$200 will be removed from your Starlink kit price when ordering on Starlink.com, and if activated after purchasing from retailers, a $200 credit will be applied,” explained Starlink’s official website.
The policies for consumers who utilize Starlink's "regional savings" are as follows:
-
Customers who change their service address outside a regional savings area will be billed the regional savings amount.
-
Customers will only be permitted to change their service plan for six months after the date the order is placed if they contact support and agree to pay the regional savings.
-
Customers may only transfer a Starlink Kit to another user 120 days after the date the order is placed or 90 days after activation of the Starlink Kit, whichever comes first.
-
Customers who cancel their Starlink within the 30-day trial period, do not return the Starlink Kit, and do not pay for their first month of service will automatically be billed for the amount of the regional savings.
